Mk indy R with yamaha R1 2008
Hi all,
i've recently bought a mk indy with a R1 2008 Engine.
on the SVA, the pollution test is good. I think they have passed the car with a catalyser, but now, i'ven't got no one.
Does someone know which type of exhaust (for the noise) and catalyser (for pollution) they use? because i want to do approved it, and i need that,
plus a reverse gear (i've found an electric one on their website).
regards
vincent

if its registered then do you really want a reverse? it'll add weight and need you to change your propshaft if you were to get a MNR one. An
electric reverse might be OK but you may lose some power.

i've imported the car in france, and to do it "road legal", i must have:
A reverse gear (i saw the electric one on the mk website).
A catalyser (but witch one?)
An Exhaust to pass the noise test.
it doesn't matter if i loose some power, because i want to use the car everyday

hi vince
can't help you re-cat, but are you going to try a RTI to register the car in france?
good luck

hi antonio,
yep, i'm trying a RTI in france. this is the reason that i need a cat, a noisless exhaust, and a reverse gear.

(i need almost some technical info from mksportscar about my car, but they're not very proud to give me those informations)...
