Top Gear

Is it me or was it cr*p again?

I was really hoping that the new series might have addressed some of the old issues, but after Mr Clarko spending about 12 minutes blathering on about the same things over and over with the new Bentley, then rolling that robin more times than england lose at something I lost interest.

It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

completely agree. both me and the other half used to watch it but last night she got fed up of i after about 10mins and i lost interest when they started to wreck the robin, particularly the point where they crashed one into another - completely pointless!!

Wont be watching it again and its certainly come off series link too!

thing is they'd already done the "new reasonably priced car thing" before so nothing new there.

and I always like to see these expensive cars thrashed around but it always makes me laugh when they say at the end "you really should buy the aston instead of the bentley" without any trace of tongue in cheek (unless i missed it). that's advice I'll definitely be heeding when it comes to changing to my next £100K car !!!!

Why has the big baffoon, got summat against Bentleys?

He moaned that the rear tyres shredded, last night(he did the same thing when he blew the rear tyres off of another Bentley a couple of years ago).
What does he expect when he's driving it like a Tw@, in McDonald's car park?

It's a very fast, 2-ton, luxury, grand tourer, not a rally car!!

Clarkson=Numpty!!

IMHO it's a bit like Marmite, you either love it or hate it!

I do like the show, but every once in a while Clarkson opens his mouth and says something stupid and annoying!!

I loved Clarkson's Reliant Robin bit. I know it was set up but it did make me laugh as that is how I imagined myself driving one of them!

it had me laughing, and this is coming from someone who hated the last series - It seemed much tighter and moderatley less ridiculous.

On a side note, what on earth is up with Richard Hammond - hes got fat now and I don't even know where you would go to buy a shirt that "flamboyant".

I really enjoyed it. It can be abit stupid at times like at the end of the reliant bit.

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

The sooner people realise its a family entertainment program, NOT a car show the better!!!

If you take it at face value, its a fantastic show! (what other program on TV will get the entire family (male and female) to sit down and watch it?)

Exactly, 5th gear is now a mature car geek programme - leaving space for top gear to "have a bit of fun"

I cannot stand usefull cars being smashed to bits, even a three wheeler.

The old reasonably priced car being squashed by a falling chimney is just silly, give it to a charity to sell or use or something.

Same in all Clarksons Christmas dvds i used to buy them but now they are just about smashing things up.

The Reliant Robin bit had my almost crying with laughter at some parts, but I thought crushing the Lacetti under the chimney was pretty stupid.

Is this the Lacetti that has had the front wheel fall off twice, two new gearboxes. New suspension several times where drivers have gone off at the last corner and smashed into a side road at 90°? Is only ever driven at full throttle with full racing starts? Are you sure you've want someone driving on the road in it? By the time Top Gear can no longer use it, it is fit only to be crushed.

Agreed - infact he did say that due to the life and abuse it had that they werent allowed to sell it anyway.

Overall I thought it was pretty amusing As soon as the reliant appeared I knew it was going to get rolled as I noticed it had a roll cage fitted in the first few shots

I guess TG had to destroy the reasonably priced car for legal reasons.

Some Eurotwat health and safety law.

shame to see some good parts go to waste.

I agree not safe for the road.

But many parts must of been like new
