Ebay: Wow

Okay, here's the deal. I have big feet so I have to wear converse shoes to drive the Locost. A while back I saw some camo converse shoes which looked quite funky and bought them.

When they arrived instead of size 13 I've got size 11. Oh shizzle thought I, imagining a load of pain to get a refund via paypal blah blah blah.

I e-mailed the vendor and he asked me to send it back first class (not registered) and he'd pay the postage and send me the right size. I was immediately suspicious thinking "so he wants me to send it non-registered so he can say he never got it back" etc etc. There must be an angle.

Sent it back first class. He sent another e-mail apologising profusely for the confusion. Today in the post got the size 13 shoes and a cripsy fiver (the postage was three quid).

I'm speechless.

Some people are genuine you know. Looked after customers go back again. Why not return the favour by buying more shoes from him if they fit and are comfortable.

Excellent news.....there are a lot of sharks on E-Bay but there are also some decent Buyers & Sellers. I have 449 100% Feedback the vast majority of which are as a Buyer and I've only ever had one issue which took a couple of weeks to resolve........had more trouble with High Street retailers to be honest!!

Well I was surprised. A decent person on Ebay. Converse shoes rock when it comes to driving. No edge to them so they're only slightly bigger than your feet. Size 14s fit me better but they don't fit in the tunnel so it's crampy 13s for me

I'll definately buy more shoes from that person in future. Not only from loyalty but also just from the plain simple fact that I know if it goes Pete Tong he'll sort it out.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

you're right, there are all types on EBay. i recantly sold an item that I expected to get about £10 for. The bidding went to £17 so in a fit of generosity I taped 3 £1 coins to the item before posting by standard 1st class.
A week later I got a complaint from EBay saying the buyer hadn't recieved his item and ordered me to refund his money.
I was annoyed that he hadn't contacted me direct, but even more annoyed when a friend of mine spotted my distinctive item on the chaps car a month or so later.

If you don't post "recorded" Paypal will automatically refund the buyer if they file a "not received" compaint.
Some buyers are just thieves, it's not worth the risk.

The bloke you sold your item to, I'd have paid him a night time visit and removed "my" item from his car, clumsily.....
