I had a V50 and after a while the sensor in the dash which senses the key failed so it wouldnt start. had to have entire dash removed to fix it which was an all day job. thankfully fixed under warranty.

was chatting to the mechanic who did it and he had seen a few go.

other than that it was a brilliant car

I ahve a 08 2.0D S40 SE (identical to v50 from door pillar forward) and it is a great car.

I am a BIG guy and there is plenty of room, driving position is really good, its no slouch. Lovely and quiet and very comfortable!

I persuaded my auntie to get a V50 SE Lux, it has all the toys and a beautiful leather interior.

Apparently there have been people who have been unhappy with the dimness of the dipped
headlights at night bi-xenons are fine though. Also people have complained about reflection of the dash board in the windscreen. I have never found either of these things to be a problem, or even noticed them to be honest.

what size engine was it?

the D5 is a volvo engine, and I think the others in the range are ford engines.

I sold my last volvo at 158k and it sounded like a sewing machine and pulled like a train.

I wouldn't be overly worried about it, obviously at that mileage the price would have to be right.

175k on mine. Pulls like Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr and sounds like win

The mental gymnastics a landlord will employ to justify immoral actions is clinically fascinating. Just because something is legal doesn't make it moral.
