Cadwell park lap record.

Hi

Having had a look at the current lap records for Cadwell park.

Car Nigel Reuben Jedi MK6 1.22.225
Bike Leon Haslam Ducati 999 1:26.654
Kart Gavin Bennett Anderson/DEA 1:22.28

I am beginning to wonder if they where even actually trying. Because Ive just watched Tiff and Plato on Fithgear ( re run on Dave ) put a cooper S and a Renault Clio in showroom spec round there in 1.16.50 and 1.17.00

I had cause to look at Cadwell records recently as a mate was there in Sports 2000s. Generally they are the quickest thing on any given weekend.
Best lap for them was just under 1.33, so the Jedi at 1.22 quite took me by surprise.

Why don't they all just get a Cooper S ?

I watch that 5th gear this afternoon, I think they did just the club circuit,"takes a hairpin right just before the bottom of the mountain, they don't tend to use that circuit much now for racing.

Hi

I thought they may have been using the club circuit as Locosts do the short around similar times but they had the waved checkered flag in the usual place for the full track. Think they are showing one thing and timing another way.
Either way it's a good job they didn't use Miss Butler Henderson. Would have been more of a crash testing feature than a how quick feature.

Cheers Matt

Is it just me......or is Jason Plato an absolute t*sser of the highest order? always thought he was an arogant so and so on 5th Gear but after watching his behaviour at the Silverstone BTTC round......
