New cam chain on a corsa
Hi All in the next few weeks i have to fit a new cam chain and tensioner etc to the wifes 1000cc 3cylinder corsa
Will i need any special tools to do this job ?
i also have to fit a new clutch again is there any special tools to do the job ?

I did have the tools for doing the timing chain but someone borrowed the kit and I can't remember who. Have a look at Laser tools I'm sure
it was one of theirs I had. Clutch only needs an aligning tool IIRC unless yours has teh access panel in the bell housing and the bung in the end of
the box (unlikely) in which case you need 3 clips to hold the clutch cover in the compressed and a 7mm bolt to pull the shaft from the box after
taking out the circlip.

I've read somewhere that you have to take the engine out to do the cam chain. Is this correct?

No the gearbox will have to come out
I will have to buy the cam tools then
Is it a hard job to do the chain ?can it be done with the engine in the car ?
