Scam or Good

Not sure about this .... I'm the seller and it was advertised in LRO.
Here is the EMAIL THREAD

========================

Andy ,

Good afternoon !
We checked that and it is possible to import this land rover .

My broker is going to inform me what is needed concerning shipment , payment , etc ...

This importation process will cost me around 2000 pounds ( paper work ) .

Once started , if it is cancelled I loose this 2000 pounds .

I come back to you soon .

Thanks

Danilo

Andy ,

Thanks for your reply .
For the moment I need only a chassis number .
With this number in hand I can check if importation is permitted .

If permitted I come back to you afterwards .

Regards

Danilo

So once he has your chassi no, he can nick a similar motor in brazil, change the No, and register it as an import

Walk Away.... It sounds like trouble.
Its NOT worth the hassle.
There are enough Landys in Brazil why would you want to import a RHD vehicle into a LHD country.

Walk Away NOW.

The way I would look at it is when the money is in my hand then I let go of the car. If the guy can do that, then why not?

I once sent an engine to Malta. I told the buyer that I wanted cleared funds in my bank account, and he got a cheque drawn on a british bank. Once it cleared, I sent him the engine.

The main worry I see here is delay, are you going to miss any other selling opportunities while he sorts things out his end?

As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I've got a little list-- I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed-- who never would be missed!

Second the above - could be genuine. At least see what he's actually gonna ask you to do. As long as you dont let the car go before you have confirmed cleared funds in your account I dont see what can go wrong.

Just give him the number (with a few minor adjustments) then when he does nick a similar model over there and tries to use the number on that car he'll get nicked! simples

Edited : Not even the biggest crook over here would charge £2000 to get some paperwork sorted....

Don't give yourself the grief, even if he's genuine guaranteed it'll ended costing you somewhere along the line if not in cash then certainly in time and aggravation.

There must be UK buyers for it?
