OT. BMW PDC sensor painting

I have bought a replacement Park Distance Control sensor but it's the wrong colour (new from ebay). What do i need to do to paint it? Can i spray over the original paint or do i rough it up?

Or shall i just get a touch up kit and brush it on???

Any advice appreciated

Thanks
Dan

EDIT: will anything i do to it affect the operation of it? or will it be ok?
