Porsche Boxters...
...appear to be quite cheap....considering that they are a reasonably new 'Porsche'...from £5.5K on ebay for an early one....I know they
are classed as a 'poor man's Porsche'...but how good/bad can a Boxter be?
Anyone had one?

Brothers got a 52 plate boxter, brilliant car, spares no dearer than any other car if you shop around, only problem he has had was the hood fitting
which needed a porsche garage (independant) to sort out.

Whilst I'm at it....MG TF - from £2K for a good one....engines not so bad so far as I am aware....???
I'm not about to turn into a 'hairdresser'....but playing on ebay often raises such questions.

Golf won't be anywhere near as rewarding tho, and seven not so practical.

My petrol head mate loved his base end Boxter. He was gutted when he forced to sell it by the lady for a Mini Cooper S.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

By many accounts, the Cayman S is the Porsche to have. A slight bit more than the Boxter. Still has a spares problem though: $$$$$

The non S versions are a bit slow, have suffered quite a few problems and can be a load more expensive to run than the S.
The 3.2S is an impressive bit of kit (particularly the tiptronic auto). I have just returned from a track day near Paris and my pal spanked his
Boxter all day without any issues. Pretty quick and forgiving on track. We then drove 260 miles home.
I was quicker on track but he was warmer on the way home.
If you are seriously looking for a Porsche I would suggest joining TIPEC or the likes as you can get some unbiased info.
