Anyone ever owned a Supra?

Just having one of those moments when thinking I need to ditch the estate and get one of those cars I've always wanted.
Though I hate to admit it, I actually had one of those 'heart stopping' moments many years ago, when I saw a veilside bodied Toyota Supra!
Well, a tuned one with 500bhp twin turbo, or standard twin turbo are now very reasonable, a good one for 3.5K and a really good one for 5K (most now including boom boxes in the boot).
As they are Toyota's I'd hope they don't explode, but I was just wondering if anyone here has ever had one and could comment?

Next week I will mostly be thinking about facelifts and Thai brides!

Have you got a hairy chest? Buy a medallion to go with the Supra and you'll be fine

not had a supra, but i had a pair of 300zx's. Lovely fun but the fuel bill was shocking. I got 90 miles out of £40, which at the time was probably under 15mpg. That was admittedly driving like a joyrider

I had one, a standard looking uk car. Made over 320bhp as standard on a rolling road and 350 with a n induction kit and centre section exhaust. Such a great car. Great on the motorway. a 13second 1/4mile as standard, great round bends. Buy one

I had a MK IV twin turbo 6 speed, it was a very strong car and very quick. It had whats known as BPU which takes it to about 400 bhp with no real compromises. Not great on fuel but a hoot to drive as an all round car. Great for drifting out of the box too

You can pick up twin turbo Soarers like mine (basically a touring version of the Supra) for a song these days. Mine gives me 350bhp and is a real embarrassment to a lot of more 'exotic' cars - I even gave a 350Z a right rogering a few months back! Not bad for a 15 year old car

Cheers,
Raz

Supra is definitely on my 'cars to own' list.

I also fancy an RX7, but I'd probably do the LS v8 swap in it.
