PTFE / Teflon Paste

Morning all,

Does anyone know where I might be able to source a small quantity of PTFE or Teflon paste that is used for sealing threaded pipe connections? I specifically after something that is rated for use with gaseous oxygen carrying pipes, which rules out the standard plumbers stuff that is commonly available?

Cheers
Andy

Dammit! Too many decisions....

A lot of the PTFE based stuff is stated as not being suitable for O2 systems. I don't know if ROCOL do anything. I know that they do greases etc for BA sets, operating theatres and similar.

Several years ago I saw some photo`s as part of a workshop health & safety training course which showed several people who had been handling oxygen with oily hands and various PTFE uses which resulted in extremely badly burned hands.

Don`t know if this was scare mongering by the firm I worked for, but it was enough to convince me not to mix oil based products with oxygen.

Normal PTFE costs a few pence a role, oxygen rated can`t cost much more, can it?????????????

Something about this, so very wrong.....I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn`t like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
