PLATE on retention
i have been offered a plate i like that is on retention
anyone know how much will it cost me to put it on my car?
i know nothing about private plates.

I think standard price is 80 quid mate

but that is paid to put it on retention IIRC
so nothing to pay!?

If your transferring it straight from the retention certificate, it is free, the transfer fee is included in the price of retention.
I
We've just done it, to put the retained private plate on my sister's Carrera 4.

i think you might get charged another fee to change retention to registered keeper.

yes thats what i want to know if i need to pay or its free or its £25 or is it £85 or £105 can cant work it out lol

The retenction cert will have an area to fill in to 'grant' the plate to a new owner.
