Media Blasting at Retropower
Bit of an advert, but we're now all set up for in-house media blasting, trying to keep everything under one roof (previously it was done on site
but by mobile contractor). If anybody wants to get any blasting done then have a look on our website, or feel free to drop by when we're doing
some (phone first to find out when we're next doing some! ) to see for yourselves
if this is too adverty for this thread, let me know and I'll remove!
cheers
Nat

Once blasted, can you zinc primer spray before undercoating & top coating?

Yep, any spraying can be done as long as its from a "normal" gun (i.e. not a hot applied coating). We normally use Max Meyer Ecophos 2
component zinc phospate etch primer as a first coat. After that its up to the customer (and we don't have to use ecophos, its just the best
thing we've found so far! )
At some stage (i.e. when I can get one cheap enough) I will hopefully get hold of a Metco oxypropane-wire gun or similar so I can do hot zinc
spraying....................................
