Just bought this.........
Just bought this Dutton kit car - shell only Spares or repairs on eBay (end time 21-Dec-10 12:06:05 GMT) a good
start and as I'm going that way in Jan to pick an engine up from Stuart_B it's not going to be hard to collect either. What do you think?
Should I put MX 5 engine and box in it or Rover V8 I just happen to have lying around?

with some major remodelling, that could be made to look almost nice.
the fact that you got if for less than a tank of petrol indicates there is not a lot of demand so although a V8 could be fun, if not lethal, my advice
is go the cheapeast possible route engine wise, and not over 1.6 l - not sure the car will handle large power very well. if the mx5 fits that, then
go for it, else a 1.6 zetec or a crossflow would be ideal.
nice colour but that is about it.
good luck with it and hope you sort your other problem out with the lcb member.

Here is a little picture of the one I built, ( and modified a bit), had an Essex V6 and went like s**t of a shovel, Cheers Ray

To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy
