Tin (well... glass) top tyre advice
For my 20th birthday I've treated myself to a Mk1 MR2 T-bar The only problem is that it has budget tyres on the back and P5000s on the front
and I don't really want to crash it.
It runs 14" wheels and I don't really want to modify it ( :O ), but what decent tyres can I get in 185/60 R14? I can't find any!

Just noticed that I have a 185/60 R14 Toyo CF1 in my garage that looks like a good type of tyre. Anyone have any views on these on a sporty car?

Yokohama Parada should be available in that size.
1.6 GTIs (205) ran 14" wheels and the choice was always more limited than for 13" and 15" tyres, but the older Yoko A539s were
always widely available.

Although they have the "Proxes" label, the CF1's are not high performance tyres by any stretch, though a lot better than the no-name
teflon tyres available. If you can get the Paradas then that's where my money would go.
It's worth checking out the owners club forum and see what they recommend. Good choice of car though, always wanted one but I hate dealing with
rust!

Student budget I ran 21Rs on my 205 and they were actually a very good wet tyres unless there was lots of standing water. They were horrifically
noisy as well.
I'm looking for a good road tyre really.
Can't find Paradas in 185/60 R14, any links?

I can get T1Rs in 195/55 R14 but they are £60 a tyre from camskill which is a lot (double the price of the same tyre in 195/50 R15).
