Building a car port?
Following on from recent posts about car ports I think I have decided to go with 2.5mm twin wall polycarbonate for mine.
Its going to about 3.5 x 2.2m but I have no idea about fixing the stuff or what kind of base is required.
Any pointers to online guides how to prepare a frame and fasten the stuff down?

I laid a concrete base with inserted studs. Then bolted uprights to this structure using fence post brackets. This allowed a substantial upright to
protrude and offer a good 200mm of support while providing a flange to bolt to my exposed studs. I used a long beam along the house wall for further
support too.

Is it necessary to put gutters on a car port and flashing where it's next to the house wall?

I would personaly fit gutters and a fall pipe to reduce the noise of the rain hitting the floor plus it will cause a lot of splashing

Its going to stand alone, away from the house, attached to the garden shed with the neighbours side boxed in, open to my garden. It will have gutters
to collect rainwater for my IBC.
What I'm after is the structure and guide to assembling the poly sheets.

B&Q do some information booklets.
I used the full ally fixing channels. Nails with waterproof caps.
Used adhesive flashing for the house to wall joint
I eat to survive
I drink to forget
I breath to pi55 my ex wife off (and now my ex partner)
