BMW 5 series service manual?
Hi guys,
I'm trying to trace a battery drain on swmbo's E39 540i - been through all the fuses, and two of them are drawing 0.5A between them
without the key in the ignition - the fuse guide says they're Air conditioner & heated headlamp washers, and Instrument panel.
I've "found" a copy of the Bentley service manual, but it's only the first volume without the electrical systems in. Does
anyone have a copy they could lend / scan the appropriate wiring diagrams, by any chance?

Replace/disconnect the heater "hedgehog". A well known fault on these for battery drain.I have known of a few do it. In fact,it has just
been covered in PPC as well......

We've got an unusual car - unplugged the hedgehog, and the draw on the AC circuit was still exactly the same....
