DVLA notification

Can you change details of your vehicle online, colour etc or does the V5 have te be sent in to Swansea Cheers in advance

I'd imagine it would have to be sent in so they can change the document

AS far as I know, the only way to change any details on your vehicles V5 is to send it to DVLA by post.

Ensure you fill in & tick the correct boxes ( Don't forget to sign the decalaration too ) there is no charge for tis service

Also take a photocopy of the V5 before you send it, it may surprise you but they do loose things.

Got to post it dude.

Otherwise what's to stop people keeping hold of authentic V5s and cloning cars... just a thought.

I was quite surprised when I scanned my V5 before sending it off for a change of details - top half of the front page appears solid blue, but when scanned appeared as three equal width columns in blue, green and magenta! Very clever.
