ford oval red badge?
I was talking at work today and a mate said he had a mk2 escort that had a red oval badge on the front.
was this standard to a special model if so which one

It was just a standard badge with the blue sanded off and then sprayed red, we used to do them whatever colour we fancied on the day.

Im with pete, used to do the same on my old capri's and sierras sand the blue off the back and paint em what ever colour matched the car .

Ford never fitted Red badges to anything. There was a craze in the 80's to fit them though or modify standard ones.
The only time they were used from the 'factory' was in the 30's and 40's apparently.

Ah that brings back memories. I did mine red to. I also changed "Escort" to "Sorted". Happy days the early 90s!
