My mate had look at the MG6 --- liked it a lot quote "A proper job looks a lot beter than the pictures on the web" going for a look
at it myself at the weekend.

Geee.. sure looks like a Ford Focus with an 'MG' badge?
Hopefully it is.. then it's likely much better built than an MG :-)

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

£15 - £18 grand for a car that's made in China. I don't think so.
Warranty 3 yr/60k miles, even they don't have much faith in their product.
There'll be a few misguided soles who think they're buying an MG, but those days have been lost forever sadly.

Another british marque the then owners literally pissed away!!
Looks more like a Mondeo to me, and I hope the quality is better than the chinese welder I was stupid enough to buy.

when are you talking about? In the 60s there were 2 cars (Midget and B), before that there were some other roadsters and some saloons but, since the
RV8, which was a worked over 60s MGB, MGs have been essentially rebadged Rovers, fairly boring but adequate (IMHO). The MG6 looks like it is in a
similar vein, though not necessarily based on a Rover (is it based on a Roewe, itself ex-Rover 75?)... The TF continues, or restarts, so that
is what it used to be.

I agree, but how many were lost when the incompetent former owners of MG signed away the company in an evening of free flowing drink, down their
throats, not the Chinese team's.

Why is it that every single rover car to date lookes "aged" before its even a year old... there is nothing new or forward thinking about
that design atall...
Good luck to them.. its such a shame that the MG brand was not sold to a much smaller niche car maker to actually produce real "sports
cars".

i'm with the good for british jobs and industry crowd, it's about time we got back to making things, even if it's only design and
assembled here, it's better than a kick in the nuts, and if it works out sounds like there's plenty more in the pipe line, i'd
definatly give it a chance if i was in the market for a focus/mondeo type car
