Tomtom one updates

Hoping the infinite knowledge of Locostbuilders can help on this one....

A good friend has given me his Tomtom one (first edition) asking if I can update it for him. He's had it years (he thinks 10 years but I'm not sure if it's quite that long) and he's not computer savvy so will never have updated it.

Presumably there are SD card images that I can download somehow. I suspect it probably needs an OS update as well as the maps. I seem to remember years ago downloading Tomtom for a windows device and you had to just copy all the files to the SD card and then edit a serial number.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

For info, it's got App 5.4.50 and map 'Great_Britain' v605.

Cheers, Chris

If you mean legit, then install TomTom Home and register the device be careful though you can only have one email account per device so if you have 2 devices they need to be registered using 2 different emails. Connect the device and it will tell you what you've got and what updates are available. The OS should be free, the maps will cost.
