Ford S-max 2011 model rear lights illegal ?

Next time you are behind a 2011 Ford S-Max take a look at the rear flashers ---- if you can find them even when illuminated they are almost invisible.

How did Ford got these through type approval ?

Not noticed the SMax specifically, but IMHO there are a number of recent/current cars with insufficient indicator lamps - particularly the rear ones. Fine at night, but barely visible in normal daylight, let alone bright sunlight.

And seeing as most drivers don't bother to use them whether they visible or not makes no difference!

On a related note, next time you follow an Audi A3 or A4 take a look at the exhausts. Most have slash cut pipes with no trim...would defo fail an SVA test if presented like that but they come out of the factory that way...

That's just the way things are. I still can't believe the super bright headlights that German cars seem to come with are legal when they not only blind but are blue aswell.

As above though, so many people don't bother using perhaps ford thought why bother actually fitting any.
