Interesting day
Had a fairly interesting day today.
It was my birthday and I awoke to a cooked breakfast in bed.
I was given a Brands Hatch Track Day for the Indy Circuit on the 14th June having been taken to a Michelin Star restaurant for a meal the night
before. All good so far...
I've had to postpone the track day as I put my back out 3 weeks ago and can barely walk let alone drive the car due to the shooting pains down
my leg which means I can't depress the clutch. They need 14 days notice to rebook or lose the money so I had to make a quick decision. Going
to try and get a date in July.
On walking into the garage the Velocity has emptied the contents of the radiator all over the garage floor so I'll either need new hoses or a
new radiator (I was thinking of putting a polo rad on it soon anyway).
To cap it all, my 9 year daughter came in crying her eyes out for the 5th time in 2 weeks having been told off again by the neighbour for riding her
bike around the Close to fast. Last time it was because she stopped playing with her kids when my brother dropped in for my youngest sons birthday.
She can't keep her nose out, the local kids are terrified of her and so are some of the adults!
I've just confronted her, had a stand up row and ended up calling her a "miserable old witch". My wife then went and gave her
another earful (she's better at it them me) and it ended in tears (not my wife's). The neighbour claims says she's being victimised
and the kids look at her funny? Yeah - that's because the're all scared!
Hopefully that will put an end to it. I know my kids aren't angels but they are very good kids, always respect others and generally do as they
are asked. Regardless, they didn't do anything wrong.
And breathe....

as a kid in Newcastle I remember neighbours like that, I also remember the neighbour suggesting he was going to call roung in the morning and see my
dad. Unfortunately the message got a little twisted when my sister said "hes coming round to sort you out dad". That was the first time I
ever saw my dad hit anyone Knocked him clean out with one hit and left him laid in a bush. (dad was a squaddie of 20 plus years and a little bit
handy) funny old thing the neighbours soon left the street and the kids could actually play without fear.
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

LOL.
She's complained about my car before. Keeps saying her kids don't like it because its too loud. It doesn't stop her kids sitting in
it when parked outside my house and pressing the horn.
I never rev it, always wheel it in and out the garage and hardly ever use it before 9am out of respect for all the neighbours.
She's just one of life's miserable people. Being miserable is the only thing that seems to make her happy.
Maybe I should arrange Locost Breakfast meet-up. Starting at 6am all welcome...the more and louder the merrier.

Used to have an old biddy (Mrs Giles) living next door to us that was constantly complaining that various local children made too much noise when
playing and that we weren't to ride our bikes past her house (on a public road!). Some peoples lives are so empty the nearest thing they have
to social interaction is complaining. Quite sad really

Different events, but that sounds like an average day in an average family life. Enjoy, those will be the good old days stories when your sitting in a
retirement home.
