Sorry to hear you are letting it go.

I would have put it on PH for £6k ono.
Your price is a bit low, even though its not the Kit selling time of the year.
If you can wait, you will get a much better price in two or three months time.

Its a damn good car, despite the bonnet.
Hope its not down to unfortunate circumstances. Is there a new project in the offing?

Finally point the new owner at LCB and the Luego section in particular.

Not really thought about what info to sort out but hears the main points

Car was SVA in Feb 2008 – first time pass

All paper work is correct with the log book showing first date of reg as feb 2008

Its reg is Q271BNU - this can not be changed for an age plate.

Passed its first MOT this year with no problems. The emissions test was a visible smoke test only.

MOT expires June 2012

Car is now SORNed but will tax it for a test drive when required.

The Car.

3.5 rover V8 engine. Rebuilt by myself in 2008. Has new bearings apart from camshaft bearings as these were fine. Cam shaft up rated to a Huricane cam shaft. Lifters uprated to Rhodes lifters. New lifter push rods fitted and tappet clearance set.
New timing duplux chain fitted. New lightened flywheel from RPI fitted. Head bolts and bottom end bolts replaced with APR studs. New clutch fitted.

Gearbox is an LT77 -from an SD1

Rear diff is a sierra 7 inch 3.62 LSD ( a bit clunky now ) and included is a 7 ½ inch open diff that was fitted and in V Good condition before the LSD diff.

Front brakes – willwood powerlites with smart pads.

Rear brakes - Siera disk brakes.

Engine was originally running a Webber Carb but decided to change this to fuel injection last year so NOW has a discovery inlet manifold fitted and use 8 lotus elise injectors. This is all run from a megasquirt V2 ( I think –will have to check ) and eddies 8 from EFIextra.

Also has a LC1 lamna probe fitted to the MS and also a dash display showing the AFR.

THE ONLY ISSUE IS THE BONNET – forgot to fasten the catches two years ago and it came off at 70mph. nearly took my head off!
Structurally I would say its sound but its covered in gel coat crakes. And a couple of corners have chips. If the better condition I would be looking for £5500 or more.

Will sort photos out this week but feel free to ask questions as this is just a random list .

Paul

Windscreens may be hard to find but jolly green giant on the web site is the best person to ask about sources as he runs the luego owners club.

+ it’s a long drive in winter back to yours in an open kit car.

Hi Paul
That is a bargain your selling that for!!
I sold my 2.8 V6 Turbo back in 2010 for £6k, surely you could get more than that for it??
are you gonna build anything else then?
cheers
Colin

The plan is to start building again soon. Something from scratch.

So need the space. Some else may as well enjoy the car for the next few years.

Wont be dismantling it as we already have our own build project.
However we will be doing some rolling improvements, alterations and upgrades (although the car doesnt need much). The idea is that having a finished car will help keep the students inspired to work on our own build
