Astra H Rear Suspension

Morning Guys,

I have a feeling that my rear nearside damper has bit the dust on my tin top. i have done a quick google search and it looks like bilstein do a replacement gas shock absorber "HERE" for a relatively cheap price. It does mention in the description that they are not suitable for Astras with IDS suspension? how do i know if my car has this or not? ive googled it but cannot find a definitive answer. I have a 2005 Astra H (mk5) Elite, does anyone know for definate?

What alternatives do i have to replacing both dampers? how do i test that the damper is definately knackered and are they difficult to replace?

To add a slight bit of time pressure too, my MOT is up in two weeks!

All the best

Alex

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

IDS was an expensive option on the more sporty models - like the VXR. It stood for Interactive Driving System. My 2005 CDTi doesn't have it (or many features now I think of it...)
