A friend of mine has a Series 1. It can be EXCITING in the wet being short wheel base with that big engine. Series 2 is slightly less exciting!
Driving it back to back with my GTM Libra VVC 170bhp there was very little in it in terms of performance though the Libra was better in the twisty
bits being 2/3 the weight.
I think their reputation as being lairy comes from people driving them like a FWD. Drive it properly and they are brilliant! I would love to have one.

I heard the word Brutal used in a chat wit an owner a few years ago. He said that they could break tracktion, I think they had one on Top Gear and it
had the arse ragged off it by Clarkson If I recall correctly he loved the experience

Ok thanks,
Currently I'm running a vx220 but wanted something more civil but still rare and fun

I know the same car as Roger. Probably not as nimble as the VX220. Wasn't close to the Fury when going for it but respectably quick and nice
rarity value... Drifts very nicely as well.

I can assure you Adi, that wasn't the one I drove! Trinder won't let me sit in his without wiping me down, let alone drive it! He spent 6
weeks cleaning it after his last tour!

Don't suppose either of your friends still have them and would be willing to let me have a look at one and a chat about them?
There rare and the one I want to buy is 6 hours away that the problem
And being as nimble as the vx doesn't bother me got the kit car for that!

I have wondered for a while why I dont see more of these at track days. 182 but with more power and RWD sounds like a weapon. The chasis is well
proven and Renault can build engines. I would of thought these would be good cars on track. Especially if some weight was lost.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

very short wheelbase and alot of weight makes them actually not much faster than a 182.
im not wanting one for outright speed, got the kit car for that
its just a mental car, a shopping car on steroids with a 3.0 v6 engine where the kids should be!
