2008 Vectra rear road spring replacement advice?

Anyone replaced a rear road spring on a 2008 model Vectra?

Is it similar to the Astra, just remove the shock absorber, let the suspension unload, and pop the spring out?

Daughter broke yet another spring, 2.00pm yesterday just as the decent local factor was closing.....

I think I took off the bottom arm bolt but was an easy job as the spring is separate from everything else
