2007 Espace stereo replacement
Chaps
CD part of stereo in the Espace died about 2 years ago, so have decided to replace. Got a JVC DAB/CD/MP3 thing from Halfords, got some 3rd party stalk
controls, and took it to Halfords for them to fit.
They haven't ever seen what's there before ie back of stero only has a couple of minor cables coming out, which they reckon are data
transfer or something.
None of their cable people seem to know about it either.
They reckon there's a separate tuner unit in there somewhere.
So, do any of you have any ideas about it. Rather not buy another stereo like the Renault one as I suspect cd player will jam in that too.

Had a word with my mate at work, he seems to think the CD unit was normally reliable. You may have problems fitting an after market unit due to some
of the car electronics and may be better off buying another Renault unit from a breakers, he says they are not coded. HTH. Mel
