MX5 rear subframe measurements please?
Looking at the below pic of an MX5 rear subframe, can anyone help me with the height from the floor to the top of the subframe where it attaches to
the car?
Also, if you know the rear track that would be appreciated too.
I'm hoping it might be in the right ball park to fit under the rear of a 205 body shell with a view to a RWD conversion.

If you need other measurements ask Nick at Suzzle linky who is near you.
Nick's an all-round good guy plus has his own rolling road when you need it dyno'ed.
HTH.

Mx5 is 102mm wider!
That would be a lot to accommodate

Really? Where's the extra width come from, I thought MX5's and Miata's shared metalwork?

Hi,
Thanks for that.
What I'm after is the distance from the ground to where the subframe attaches to the body - I'm guessing the flat area above the upper
wishbones. with holes front and rear.
If you can, it would also be useful to know the distance from the top of the subframe to the shock top mounts and approx. distance between the shock
top mounts across the car.
Thanks for your time

Right, top of subframe to floor is 430mm approx. I'm using 14" wheels.
Subframe to shock top is a bit tricky, I'll get it up on a jack at the weekend.

Excellent...thanks for the measurement, just what I was after.
Please don't go to too much trouble on the shock height measurement, this is less vital than the sub frame height in terms of overall fit.
Much appreciated
