OT, trailer storage in West of scotland

Hi all

My driveway is increasingly conjested at the minute and I could do with putting the trailer into storage for the summer months. I've phoned a couple of caravan storage places and prices were at one place £30 month and the other was 130 a quarter (+extra for bringing it out).

For a small car transporter trailer I thought this was a touch steep or is this fair pricing?

If not could anyone suggest anywhere? I'm in bridge of weir around 15 miles west of Glasgow.

Cheers
Steve

My council owned lockup is £6.50 a week, so not that much cheaper than caravan storage, but at least your trailer would be dry.

Sounds about right, you are effectively buying a pitch so size is not so relevant.

Can you take the wheels off and stand on its end against a wall ?

In respect of trailer storage, Ive just sold mine yesterday. Not because I wanted too but the cost of storage. Since taking on the council lockup in 2005 at £3.80 a week its now dropping to bits, had less than £3.80 spent on it by the council in that time, and they can have it back.

My long term plan was to build the car, then eventually store it in my garage at home sitting on the trailer. Its a nice "to do" having one but I can manage without one.
