Now that's an incredibly pretty car.

They bought one on Chasing Classic Cars on Discovery. They went racing it up a hill climb. They have a lot of nice cars on that program. I think it packed in if I recall, but they got it going again? Head gasket maybe on the Coventry climax engine.

Shame there isn't a modern engine as short as the Climax. The Replicar bonnet sits too high for me.

I guess you could use a flat 4?

As the standard chassis, suspension and running gear is retained NO IVA TEST IS REQUIRED

Is this still true - I thought there were some new MOT regs that say "if it don't look like a duck, and don't quack like a duck, then it ain't a duck!" ?

I'm building a Ribble, all it needs is a rebody inspection to check that the chassis is unaltered and the engine number matches the V5. An amazingly the inspection is the sum total of....wait for it......Free, yes you heard right, a service from DVLA that's free! wont last :-)

It should be registered as a re-body so the V5 reads right, IIRC, but otherwise the original chassis is unaltered and therefore no IVA.
