Hunt the EDIS!!

As it was a bright sunny day today in Barnsley, but winter is looming, I thought I'd hit the scrapyards as I'll soon be needing the EDIS bits to go with my Megajolt for my Monte. It wasn't until I got to the 3rd large 'yard that I managed to find a K plate Escort Ghia with the bits I needed. There really are very few early 90's Fords (and owt else for that matter!!) in the scrappys these days. Loads of '95 on but very little before that tbh. Anyway, got the full lot for just £20 including brand new leads so worth the search in the end And much cheaper than the chancers on ebay.

No but I've just about gathered all the bits together now - HC pistons, Alquati cams, 'new' gas-flowed head etc etc should go much better after.

I've been busy rebuilding a mates Fiat twin cam in his Westfield after he dropped a grub screw down the intake and embedded it in the head!! The engine wasn't great to start with so it was a good opportunity to sort it out. It's nearly there now and has the Montes 'old' 'Volumex' head on it. It also has new HC pistons, Piper BP300 cams and R1 bike carbs so should go well. Hopefully he'll be at the next Blyton p1ss up, sorry I mean trackday
