Name this female hill climb racing driver - help
OK, I am pretty sure I am remembering all, or most of, these details correctly, so here is what I think I know...
I am sure there is a female racing driver who used to do hill climbs.
Pretty sure she has links with Shelsley Walsh.
She appears to have dwarfism or a similar condition.
I think her father was also a racing driver with the same medical condition.
I know she wrote some motoring articles in a broad sheet paper (possibly Daily Telegraph) about 10 year ago.
Age, well I think she is probably in her late 50s, early 60s.
Does any of this ring any bells?
I am trying to remember her name. I thought I knew it (I think her initials are JR), but google is bring back zero results on the above info. Or did I
dream it all?
Reason is I am sure I saw her at the NEC Classis Car show on Saturday but I couldn't remember her name.

Answered my own question.
Joy Rainey.
Just been searching Daily Telegraph website and found her name.
And yes it was her I saw at the NEC

Never heard of her, but after a quick search I'm quite impressed. She's done extremely well.

Joy Raney is an exceptionally quick driver. Held the Ladies record at Shelsley Walsh for quite some time in her Pilbeam.

Wish I had gone over to say hello.
Or taken her picture. She was on the Bugatti stand next to a Veyron and she was sat on her mobility scooter.
But at the time I 'thought' her name was Joy Rayner (close) and I didn't want to make a pillock of myself saying 'Hello
Joy', if that wasn't her name.
