What size hole to tap 5/16 x24 ?

I need to make a couple of sleeves, for adjustment

So What size hole to tap 5/16 unf x 24 ?
im guessing around 6mm

6.9mm according to my dormer book.

i use an app called garage buddy pro its worth its weight in gold for building engines and kits
for the tap you will need a .2720" or 6.909 mm
