Locking wheel bolt removal without a key
Hello guys, what the best way to remove a locking wheel bolt without a key? Weld a nut on Bang a socket on etc. it's on a pug 307 with genuine
alloys. Cheers

I usually bang a socket on, My 17mm sockets had a hard life 
If you have Halfords life time warranty ones then you don't need to worry about breaking them

Provided they aren't the type that have a spinning outer shell you can get special sockets to do this that have female eezy-out style thread
they only really intended work well with an impact gun but might work with hammer style impact drive.
The socket however wear will only last a limited number number of uses.
Halfords sell them as do most of the online suppliers.

Dont pay for someone to do it!!
mazie on here did and they damaged his alloy, a right monkey!!!
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Just 'cos that happend to him doesn't mean everyone will do the same.
Either sacrificial 12pt socket knocked on (the knocking helps release it so don't be shy) or a remover as BT describes (but the don't
always fit the recess in the wheel). If it has a hardened revolving ring you'll need to drill down between ring and centre (dont slip) then
split the ring with a chisel, then it shoult remove as before.
If it's the common Pug' one with 4 small pins to locate, a small diameter raised centre with a shear section and the base almost the same
size as the wheel recess... then they're very tricky. Good luck with those!

Its worked for me before, but it depends on the type and size of the bolt, and the size of the hole in the wheel (if its recessed down a hole).

This happened to my BMW.....
But got it fixed quite quickly.
First go was chisel off the outer sleeve/ring on the locking bolt, but the hole in which the bolt sits was quite tight, so likely to damage....
Second go was weld on a bolt, jobs a good 'un. Done by a local 'old guy in a rented unit' type garage, great old boy, no damage,
charged £45 which I thought was reasonable (they were very very stuck!), happy for him to do it.
Find someone trusted/recommended and you should avoid the bad luck others have had.

loosen all the other bolts and take the car for a good thrash, it'll soon come loose.

Rather than breaking the outer ring with a chisel, you can heat it up by welding onto it. That expands it enough that it just falls off A blow
torch would probably work too, but would take most of the paint with it!

Sorry for stupid questions, but...
Why are you trying to remove without Key?
Why not post a pic and get a loaner or buy one from the crowd at LCB?
