Trailer Rental
I have a virtually brand new Bingley twin axle trailer and someone has asked to rent it. What is a reasonable rental fee to ask for a one or two day
rental? Dont want to ask too much but on the other hand I am not a charity and I dont realy know the bloke that well.

£30 is fair, that's what I pay in UK.
But you have to check your, and their, insurance. Anything goes wrong and you could be liable!

Don't do it. It's not worth it, it's ok if he's a mate and you can have a mates agreement 'you damage it, you fix
it' but if it's someone you don't know well? What chance do you have of getting any money out of them?
Guy I sometimes borrow from, lent it to a local airport they caused £200 worth of damage and just shrugged saying it wasn't us. So he's
had to fork out for the damage.

I have to agree with Ben on this,
i looked into hiring out my race shuttle but the rewards where to small for the risk imo.

Just don't bother, it's not worth it.

I have lent my Brian James trailer out a few times and almost without fail it has come back damaged in some way. It is amazing how people are
dismissive of broken lights, bent jockey wheels, missing winch handles, missing mudgards and wiring plugs that have been dragged along the road.

Once you've lent it out once, its then harder to refuse in future. I'd politely decline and direct him towards a hire company.

Local place charge £45, but you could stick a wapping great excess (paid up front in cash) and a written agreement, but then I wouldn't ask to
borrow from someone for that very reason, likewise I avoid lending stuff out, unless it's things like ramps.
