My new Westfield sport 2000s

Well an update on the car me and my brother purchased sept last year,

It's a westfield sport 2000s FW

Duratec engine with 255.3 bhp
Elite 6 speed sequential gearbox,

I purchased the car with a gearbox issue and after a few months now I had the gearbox replaced and built as there was substantial damage done,

Well today finally got it all back together and fired up,

Taken it up the road for the first time and it's bloody quick,

Gearbox is great at high rpm and haven't got to full chat yet as still learning the car,

Super impressed with it the nitron dampers, they are superb on the rough roads,

Can't wait to get this weapon on track should be rapid,

I'll get some pics up of the car over the weekend,

Identical to this car as in this review on the link,

Cheers and a very happy boy,

I just fitted a 5-speed Elite IL200 over the winter. Very much looking forward to trying it out on track over the next few months..

I would be interested to know how you find yours and what ratios you picked?

Are you running any sort of flat-shift or ignition cut? or just making do with manual operation and clutch like me!

Manual operation as a dog box you should not need clutch for up shifts, I give it a token clutch on down shifts,

Ratios can't remember I'll have to look it up,

It's geared though for 148 mph top end,

It runs helicoil gears on fourth and fith and is much quiter with them, but 1st 2nd 3 rd and 6th straight cut for more strength,

Cheers and good luck

yours sounds like it will be an absolute weapon on track with that power and that gearing! I geared mine to 127mph (a few mph more than I managed at Spa last year on the old Type 9 box) but with a rev limit raise to 8000rpm I think I could squeeze 139mph out of mine if i find i'm sat on the limiter anywhere for long periods.

How much does the Sports 2000 weight?

Get some pics & videos up as soon as you have a chance

Current weight is 550 kg,

But I'm changing the seats and possibly remove the full screen,

Should loose another 15 kg so will be around 500 bhp per tonne, nice, I think it will probably struggle to get past 140 mph as the aero on these cars is crap, but will need a long straight to try it out on,

Yours should be fun to play with will get some pics up soon,

Sean
