And he knows full well its a ringer because I messaged him via the bay and told him so. Shame there isn't a hotline to DVLA to report these obvious ringers they don't do any of the rest of use who work hard on our cars and jump through hoops any favours.

I have had a long drawn out discussion with this eBayer (this is a repost by the way, it was posted bout a week ago. The owner is full of cr*p. He claims that it is perfectly legal, and that it is a genuine Dutton. He told me he knows nothing about kit cars (althouhg he also said his brother owns a V8 Dax) so he cannot comment on the legitimatacy of it being aDutton or not, but as far as he knows, it is ll above board.

I have reported it to EBay (useless) and to the Duttons owners club - I hope they make him take it down, and/or inform the DVLA.

and I also told him:

"Just for the sake of clarity I did email the seller informing him of the issue, his reply was:

"Thanks I never new any thing about this and brought the car last year in good faith as a Dutton kit car I know nothing about kit cars and so I thought the car was legit.
cheers Richard."

I have also sent him a link to this thread so hopefully it will be pulled from sale pretty sharpish.........or will it?"

So he is fully aware and still selling it as a Dutton, hope the Dutton owners club report it.

I really don't understand some people. A Dax ain't exactly locost so why put all that money into a project then risk it all by being a lazy tw@t and taking an illegal route on registration. We're lucky in this country we're still able to build our own cars in our garden sheds then drive them on the road, it's cnuts like this who will end up killing the industry.

And seriously what's with the ignorance of people. I'm sick of hearing, I don't know anything about the car, it was like that when I bought it. FFS TAKE RESPONSIBILITY! If it's wrong it's wrong. End of.

End of nightshifts rant over
