Fiat 132 Twin Cam & Box Value

Time for another clear out!

Does anyone know what sort of money I should be asking for a 1995cc Fiat 132 Twin Cam engine on twin Dellorto's and Fiat 5 speed RWD box?

Most ancillaries with it... been sat for ages though, so likely needing a full recommission.

They do seem to be going up in value, but hard to put a specific value on it tbh. Some people seem to think they're worth silly money but I don't know if they ever sell for anywhere near the asking price.
Good cranks are becoming hard to find and Guy Croft will give £150+ for one that measures up against STD specs.
Abarth / Volumex heads are £200+ these days but I'd guess yours will be a std 2.0 with 42/36mm valves?

My Fiat 2.0 TC was reconditioned & rebuilt with new gaskets, manifolds & starter motor - it went for £300, the gearbox is a popuar conversion for Lada owners, so when you advertise include Lada in the description. It fits any of the Lada motors many of which only came with 4 gears.

If you advertise it, email me the link and I will put it on my facebook page with all the Italian/Polish followers, might send some buyers your way.

I would think it's standard Nick, but I've not had a particularly close look.

A quick and easy check would be to whip a cam cover off and post a pic of the cams. I should be able to tell if it's std. A 'tuned' TC head with cams are worth a lot more. If it's got std cam pulleys then chances are the cams and head are std too though.

Someone could take a gamble on this and have a nice retro 135bhp+ package with bags of torque.
I'd take a peek at the big-end shells, give it a service inc cambelt and fire it up

When I was on the trail of Fiat parts I picked up a pair of brand new 1600 TC dome top pistons, they fit the 2.0 ok but raise the CR.

Paid £30 for them still in the brown paper from a guy whose dad was a retired Fiat tech. When I sold them I was getting emails from all over the world, Italy, USA, Spain etc. They sold for £200.

My best ever profit on car parts, pity I cannot remember which part of the pit the cash fell into.....

You can get a set of domed 2.0 pistons for under $200 these days-

They're really not too expensive to rebuilb a std motor with parts from Vicks.

Better assemble all my Fiat/Lancia parts and flog those - need to pay for the Comp Clutch kit on the hairdressers before SWMBO finds out what that cost....

Cheers, Pewe10
