Transit Connect Security

Not sure how to approach this really without sounding like a car thief so I'll get straight to the point.

A friend has had his 2003 Connect broken into whilst it was deadlocked via the key, only sign on tampering
is a piece of plastic trim. The locks appear untouched but they managed to get all doors open and made off with
a SnapOn jump pack and a Makita drill.

Both him and I want to know how the hell they did it, him to prevent a re-occurance, me because I also have a
Connect and would like to prevent it.

I'm not saying which bit of plastic and request anyone who knows to respond ONLY by U2U. Do not put details
on an open forum.

Thanks in advance.

I would be interested too, our works hi top transit was stolen & recovered the next day, similar story, no real obvious damage to the cab area, they broke into the back with no obvious signs of break in either ? & stole everything. It has a full metal bulkhead separating the cab area.

It didn't even set the tracker off, when tracker was activated, they found it within an hour, abandoned in a housing estate but completely empty.
