Went past the factory in Harlow yesterday and it seems to be open, but there is a big sign outside saying the building is for sale

Thy probably lease the building and the landlord is selling. Normally in these situations the tenant is unaffected.

the rush project was sold to MAN motorsport last year
Gary and Peter moved on to their own project which looks stunning:
http://www.walker-partnership.com/
and what's left of Dax (aka Dj sports cars) is still making cobra replicas I think, but with new people involved.
I've lost track of exactly what they are doing these days, but there some on going threads on the cobra forum.....

MAN Motorsport apparently. They don't appear to be particularly responsive based on what I've read elsewhere......

Is there an owners club?
I've looked as best I can on t'interweb and cannot find any club.
I emailed what was DJ, but no reply so assume they've no parts or interest in Rush's anymore. Haven't tried M.A.N. yet, need to
try that I guess.
I could do with a new bottom ball joint rubber as one's split. Any ideas anyone?
I've only just joined here and will post some photo's for the archive and add findings as I progressively fix all the issues on mine as I
go.
Careful what you wish for they say. Rush was a wish list car from when they were first made in the mid 90's. Recently got interested in the
idea of bike engined cars too. Now due to 'getting me crisis on' as a mate put it, I've got the best of both worlds. Sort of.
It's spent more time on blocks than the road so far, but as soon as you pull it through the gears, you cant stop grinning and any problems
fade away. Hayabusa tune is pretty addictive, no wonder bikers do their thing.
Just fixed the C41 code issue and taken it back off ramps. Hope the sun is shining tomorrow evening.......

Owners club is here:
http://forum.daxsportingclub.com/phpBB3/index.php
The unfortunately the lower front ball joints were made specifically for the Rush and so far MAN don't seem to be able to supply them, but there
is a thread on the owners club forum that's trying to source some.

If you just want the ball joint boot try your local motor factor

Thanks chaps, I'll take a look at the link.
My local factor seems to have become less useful these days. Too computerised and not enough old school grey heads. Need to find another.
It's a good call though, as although the joint might have been engineered specifically, I bet they used a rubber boot from something else.
It's a bit annoying that it's damaged in the first place, whoever did it was probably 'rasting' as me Dad used to say.....

Ball joints and boots
Thank you Mr Trident, that's marvellous.
Out of interest, I'm assuming you're from where Livingstone came from rather than going to?
Have a great weekend.

A little tip when fitting the spring clips, use a couple of 3inch lengths of brake pipe over the ends of the clips for extra leverage and to cover the
sharp edges
