Lending acar
Hello all,
I wonder if you can help....
The wife has family coming over from Australia at Christmas.
We wanted to lend them a car while they are here to save them money. Has anyone ever done this? How do I get them insured? Is it possible?
Thanks
Paul

Ask your insurance company?

My sister came over from Oz three months ago and she borrowed my polo 1.9tdi for 4 weeks. Direct line wanted something silly like £10. No problem.
This situation must happen all the time.

Either one of the temporary insurances for up to 30 days, or add them as a named driver. Unfortunately I know that a lot of cheap insurance companies
make their money from changes, so for example it would cost me at least £50 just to add a driver, that's outside of the actual premium changing.
