Interesting! It says mine failed in 2012 on a numberplate bulb. I took it for the MOT and nobody ever told me!

Hmm, very useful when it comes to finding a new car. Pretty much every Honda Accord I am looking at have had brake pipe or parking brake issues. At least I know what will be first on my 'to do' list.

Although one that said 'maintained regardless of cost' failed pretty much every MOT, including one where a tyre was down to the cords. That's not maintained in my book!

Thanks I've been wondering if this info was available as Iam just getting next summers banger ready for mot

Funny as it said the o/s drop link was an advisory and there was a new one in the boot when I got the car so so I put it on the o/s side this afternoon when it stopped raining as it looked grotty.

Just looked up the history for my old company car, a Prius, and it has the following advisories:
Advisory notice item(s)
Under-trays fitted obscuring some underside components
Engine covers fitted obscuring some components in the engine bay

I can't imagine anyone has fitted a splitter! Anyone got any ideas?

Checking the MOT history of my Skoda Estelle that I am using to rebuild my original Estelle trials car I was amused to se the following:-
Reasons for Failure
OS Front Shock Absorber missing
then
OS Front Shock Absorber has negligible damping effect

Bugger, I wish I'd seen this an hour ago. I've just bought my daughter a 2010 KA as her first car. There was a fail on a front shock and then two days later, a pass with the shock as only an advisory. I knew about the advisory but it look as though the owner shopped around to get it down from a fail. It's going to be tested again before I pick it up, so interesting to see what comes up. Garage has said that they will fix any advisories, but it could be a mates test job, so a little concerned.
