ANOTHER whats it worth post - RAW Striker
I don't know what I am doing or what I want from my car world but it seems there is an itch for a classic Ford I may need to scratch. Due to
this I am curious what others value my car at.
RAW Striker Built and IVAd late 2004 and on age related J
Currently SORN as I have been trailering it but can have MOT put on it with ease.
20V Toyota 4age with lightweight flywheel. 150bhp \ 150lbs
PX600 sausage filter provided with cold air from through bonnet position, custom trumpets and back plate
Over chassis Hi flow exhaust and large repackable silencer
OMEX 710 ECU makes this run perfectly with a 8250 limiter
Accusump oil resivoir
Mocal Oil cooler
Regular oil and filter changes with top grade oil
Ali water rad
Willwood fronts, solid discs, Newish Mintex pads
Rear, stock calipers, stock pads
3.93 non LSD
Protech Front shocks, GAZ rears, both valved and set up.
Full Geo set up and conrner weighting from Procomp and rechecked, tweaked trackside by EM Motorsport (Eddie99)
Rear Diffuser
half side doors
short fly screen
Carbon fibre transmission tunnel
GRP bucket seats
Bodywork is all sound but is showing signs of wear due to age.
2 X sets of wheels (one set of nearly new A048, 1 set of R888 used but very usable)
Lots of venting for the engine means this thing runs all day with no issue.
I have owned this car for over 5 years, it has covered about 7k road miles and many track days. It is not the cleanest on the outside, could do with a
little TLC. Mechanically this is spot on and is a track day beast as well as a nice sunny day driver.
I am not a polisher, I'm a driver so this may not appear to someone looking for a spotless, never used car.
I have many other bits for this
Full glass screen,
ARBs
M62 super charger and pistons + rods
A perfect fit trailer which fits in a single garage in good condition with new tyres, winch and under bed tyre rack.
Photos in archive.
Looking at what others go for I would like to think the car is worth 7K ish and the other parts negotiated separately.
There are not many of these combinations of Striker 20V 4ages around but people who have experienced them know they are up there with the best. I love
slaying Westfields and Caterhams on trackdays, as well as Exiges and 911s.

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

He's to young to remember those old dogs Craig, they sometimes came with bulges in the bonnets where the struts rotted out and popped up
Pretty scarce when I was growing up as they fell apart.

Hey hey hey!
The Corsairs get wheeled out to classic Ford events. I recognise them as the cars I walk around to get to the interesting stuff!!
I want something motorsport orientated. A S1 RS turbo would be nice or a Cosworth but they are quickly growing in value, out of my budget.
Its that bloody Escort Cosworth that I posted about the other day. It looks so tatty in the pics but I just keeping thinking 'get it in your
garage and use it as is for now, work on it as time and money become available'.

I have just sold my striker to a dealer in France he's picking it up tomorrow I got 5k for it yours is a better spec and newer than mine so 6.5
to 7k seems about fair it's just a shame strikers don't make more as they are one of the best cars out there , I'm scratching an
itch too I have bought a 1959 100e drag car/ hot rod with a super charged rover engine in it needs lots of tlc and a colour change as its pink! Will
be on the road next year .

Now if you're talking about a decent RS500 Sierra Cosworth I can see/feel your urge, but aside from that old Ford motors don't really do
it for me.

The itch is back.
The car is pretty much as described as above.
Now with:
Faster acceleration rear 7.5" diff
New black dash board
All analogue clocks replaced with a digidash 2
A new bonnet in blue
New brake pads all round
A nice little fixer upper or use as is.

Old thread I know, but I just stumbled upon a Sierra RS500 Cosworth on Autotrader. Stunning looking car, but the £99,999 price tag made my eyes
water. The next car was a Bentley

I don't think my striker will px against a 100k Cossie!
My heart is set on a MK2 escort or S1 RST
