2016 ZX14 Rolling frame - complete bike less engine

I've put this here rather than for sale as just after thoughts & valuations at present.

A friend has just bought a complete 2016 very lightly damaged ZX14 HGF (the latest version of the ZZR1400), with just 600 miles on the clock! He was going to break the bike & I'm having the engine for a customer build, but I suggested to him he might be better to sell the rest of the bike as a complete bike less engine & ECU/loom rather than have all the hassle of breaking & selling individual parts (which make fortunes incidentally!)

Any ideas what a 2016, 66 plate Cat D rolling frame would make - all I'm having is engine, ECU & exhaust headers, everything else is still there apart from the damaged bits, which are very minor - there's a couple or 3 bits of fairing needed, a dash cover, broken footpeg, scuffed mudguard & fairing, the mirrors & screen are missing - so far as we can see the frame is completely straight (tho' the lockstop has been broken off the front of the headstock) as are the forks, no damage to rad, wheels/brakes etc. they are all as you'd expect for a 600 mile old bike

Obviously it will always carry the stigma of being a Cat D, but as I recall that doesn't get recorded on the V5, only on HPI?

So, what do we think, what's it worth as is, or is he better to break it for bits? In either case is it of any interest to anyone on here or anyone you know?

Appreciate your input

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

He would be better off breaking it, unless he gets a buyer who has written off a zzr completely and has no or doesnt want insurance involvement.

The missing bits are the ones there will be most competition for from the BEC builders..

List it on Ebay and find out how little it's 'worth'? This may well bring you too close to reality for comfort, so breaking it will be better financially.

My last GSXR1000 (K4), very good condition, 7,000 miles, not a crash victim, went for only £750 without the engine/loom. I couldn't be bothered to break it and endure dealing with the usual dregs of society on every component. My choice.

What year was the GSX, & how old when sold? The way I was looking at it was that for a few grand someone could turn their earlier, much cheaper bike into the latest model with ABS etc - OK, it would never actually be quite "right", but that doesn't seem to bother many peeps in the biking community.

I would have guessed the ZZR would be worth a few grand, it's only 4 months old!!! Am I miles off the game here? In which case he'd be better breaking it as will certainly break for several thousand

If the removed bits are worth that much then I would speculate the buyer would be more of a dismantler and profit maker, not a build it back up and use it-er.
