Clumsy! Copper-Grease Fingerprint on Brake Pad Surface
Managed to get a copper-grease fingerprint on the braking surface of new pads. 
I sprayed it liberally with brake cleaner as soon as I noticed and then gave the surface a light rub with some sandpaper.
I'm almost paranoid about brakes, but am I worrying unnecessarily in this instance?

I figured I wouldn't be the first (nor the last!) not to notice I had a sticky finger when handling the 'business-end' of pads!

I did it when my pad slipped out and landed slimey side with fresh copper slip on my new disc under the car.
Brake cleaner and sand paper sorted it.

Just give it a lead foot a few times when you brake and it will be a goodun!

I greased my brake discs to prevent them from rusting over my long build. Past the IVA with plenty of power to spare.
