Wax polish
What is everyone using these days, to put a shine on their bodywork? I think I have made a discovery!
Being an old fart and nearly dead, according to my youngest daughter, because I now get free prescriptions!, I have always tended to use Autoglym, or
Turtle wax. But recently, I admired the shine on a colleagues motorcycle. Now, to be perfectly clear, I have no affiliations to any cleaning product
companies, he told me he uses Muc off Miracle Shine, stupid name, And it smells like strawberries!! and it is not cheap, but on the strength of his
shiney bike and his recommendation, and that I have just about run out and needed some more, I bought some.
I have never used anything like it, there is no hard polishing to be done, it wipes on and wipes off, not sure how long the smell will last though,
but time will tell if it stays on after washing etc. and we'll see what it does on the aluminium when it gets wet. As you may be able to tell, I
am impressed.

I have a very similar story when my niece recommended some polish which in my case was McGuiars Performance was on special offer at Halfords for about
£18 a tin as you describe wipe on and off no sweat beautiful shine water beading etc etc
I also was very impressed from your post I gather there has been a lot of progress in the car polishing field over the last 40 years!

I used
this stuff about 8 months ago. Just wipe on and polish off, it has a deep shine and is
hydrophobic like nothing else I've ever used. Seems to bead just as well today as 8 months ago.
Ceramic coating 8 months on

You can say that again! I had a holiday job at my dads garage when I was @ 13, valeting Hillman Husky vans, wash, tcut, turtle wax - which was a hard
wax then, then buff up by hand.
That is how I could beat everyone at arm wrestling, I looked like Popeye.

I use carplan snowfoam to rinse then wash. Then a few times a year i'll use Megs ultimate polish and megs clay bar and detailing spray to get
the contaminants and road film off. After that I use simoniz wax to coat.
Got me third prize in a show and shine last weekend, not bad considering i was blating it round blyton 3 hours before judging.
