what issues have you been having with the senders ?
if your getting ones that are sold with the gauges (or at least match the resistances) they should work (assuming you've got at least a half
decent gauge)
ETB or VDO are worth a look - sold with a range of matching senders and the guys are very helpful too

I'd second ETB. I used them on my Pinto engined MK Indy (with their senders) and they worked perfectly. They looked good too IMHO.

Cant believe that you are having problems with the senders on your Durite gauges. When I rebuilt the Royale some 15 years ago I fitted Durite and
have never had a problem on the x flow. I also use them with the Zetec and on my engine test rig......

VDO Gauges recommend 14 AWG.
Although, I think it´s overkill.

wonder if it's because im using too thin a wire. 1mm,
or if it's because i run all the gauges off the same power cable

i think i am going to go with AEM oil pressure gauge to sit along the AEM air fuel ratio gauge which has worked really well for me even after having
sat two years doing nothing.
It seems the sender units are the first things to fail on a oil pressure gauge. Can you get spare parts for the AEM gauges as £170 to fork out for oil
pressure gauge every 6 months or so would suck.

I wired 3 of them -VDO on a loop,
Water temp. Oil Pressure and Fuel Level.
I have a fourth gauge Voltage on a separate feed.

Thirded.
I bought my gauge set 2nd hand but ETB were happy to send the senders and the like I needed to make it all work with my Pinto.
Oh, and later they kindly sent me lamps (I think for free) for the gauges where they'd blown.
They even calculated the number I needed to program into the speedo to set that correctly.
Blinding service!
