Not too sure if hpi still can still do this since gdpr came in(my boss thinks not, but hasn't used hpi for approx 3 years), but i did recently
notice that our local factors were able to tell me the reg of a vehicle when i ordered parts using a chassis number, they're part of the
alliance automotive group if you want to try your local ones.
Conversely they were unable to bring up the chassis number from reg for an old range rover that had been off the road since '94, iirc the
database they use is an edited version of the main dvla one, and cars that have been sorn'd for a long time don't show up at all.

Thanks Dave . It’s been off the road for a long time so could be difficult to find .

There's a guy on facebook who can do this , if he can find it he charges £5, if nothing is found there's no charge.
I will see if i can find his details and pass them on to you if you want?
