WTF - Is this ?

see below - Ebay listing - described as a Westfield - its covered in Westfield stickers / logos - they appear to be the only Westfield parts on it
listed as Westfield but every part / panel from every angle looks wrong - an MOT check on the reg number finds its registered as a Caterham 7 - series 3 - Sure as hell aint one of them either - any ideas ?

JYJ270N comes back as a Westfield according to gov.uk. Rear looks like a pre-lit to me.

I just type in the reg on MOT check, and It states it is a Westfiled Seven SE colour RED

Body looks Westfield , rear mud guards moulded into the rea tub.

1987 is quite old , Westfield was founded in the 1980's So it could be a westfields.

Big supprise, is that it may be registed as one.

even more interesting- just checked both sites - check mot. gov lists it as A 1998 Caterham,
vehicle enquiry.gov lists it as a 1998 Westfield !
Listing describes it as built in 1987
back & rear arches do look slightly old Westfield ish but thats about all - why not describe it as a pre lit ?

Interesting how there no front, suspension, chassis or engine bay pics

Probably just been entered as that into the MoT system in the past by a tester. Make and model info didn't always come up when reg numbers were entered on the initial computer system.

My Seven was entered into the MOT system by a tester many years ago as a Westfield because it was the closest thing he could choose from the pick list he was presented with at the time. Mine isn't registered as a Westfield but now it's named for eternity in the MOT system as if it is one. The MOT database and registration database are not always aligned! Unfortunately I'll probably have to try to explain all this to a suspicious buyer if I ever come to sell the car.

Sure looks like a pre-lit to me as well. The chassis number is the same format as my own. Perhaps the owner doesn't know it's a pre - lit.
